Established in 2021, Bytown Designs is an interiors studio specializing in residential and hospitality design. We curate soulful and beautiful spaces that are aimed to inspire and make you feel good to be in. Influenced by design styles from around the world, Bytown Designs offers an eclectic take on modern design. With a belief that a collected home possesses timeless beauty and style, Bytown Designs celebrates individuality by combining modern and classic pieces with textural diversity, nature, history, and culture. Our passion is to create spaces that bring comfort, warmth, and joy - elegance without pretension.

MEET THE TEAM

  • Founder and Creative Director

    For over a decade, I toured as a musician and spent most of the year traveling with my band across North America and Europe. Along the way, I immersed myself in set design and styling for music videos, sparking a deep interest in the world of design. Living out of suitcases and storage units during that time made me realize how much I craved something more permanent — a space to call my own.

    I longed for a sanctuary, a place filled with my treasures and stories — somewhere that truly felt like home. That realization set me on a new path. I returned to school and immersed myself in interiors, architectural history, design, and the decorative arts. It deepened my understanding and appreciation of what transforms a space into a home and inspired my mission: to create interiors that celebrate art, history, culture, function, and character.

    At Bytown Designs, I help clients discover their personal style and curate soulful, dynamic spaces that feel deeply connected to who they are. By weaving in their backgrounds, memories, and collected treasures, we create homes that not only reflect their unique stories but also support their daily rituals and rhythms. I believe good design is about more than aesthetics — it’s about crafting spaces with soul, places that feel lived in, loved, and undeniably theirs.

  • Assistant Design Curator

    What I love most about design is how much our surroundings shape the way we feel. Before stepping into interiors, I spent nearly a decade studying and working in Urban Planning, exploring how external environments influence the way we live. Over time, my focus shifted from large-scale spaces to something more personal — the rooms and homes where everyday life quietly unfolds.

    That curiosity led me to change direction and return to school to study Interior Decorating at Algonquin College, where I recently graduated. Now, I have the privilege of helping people bring their vision to life by creating spaces that are functional, personal, and beautiful. I love designing homes that feel just right — spaces that reflect the people who live in them and support the way they want to live.
